We brought our naughty but sweet BernieDoodle, Ruby, to Matt in September 2025. Our main issues with Ruby were jumping up on us (and everyone else too) and leash pulling. Because she is 60 lbs and very strong, she was knocking me over and pulling me to the ground when walking on a leash. She also would not jump in the car. We had to chase her all around and then try to pick her up and lift her into… Read more
We brought our naughty but sweet BernieDoodle, Ruby, to Matt in September 2025. Our main issues with Ruby were jumping up on us (and everyone else too) and leash pulling. Because she is 60 lbs and very strong, she was knocking me over and pulling me to the ground when walking on a leash. She also would not jump in the car. We had to chase her all around and then try to pick her up and lift her into the car. And again because she’s so heavy, it was almost impossible for me to do this. Ruby also would not stay in a sit or down position. We dreaded family and friends coming over to our house because she was so ill trained and had no manners.
After 2 weeks of training with Matt, she came home a completely different dog. We can now take her everywhere with us. Ruby now hops right into the car on her own and sits for the whole car ride. She walks around with us completely off leash or loose leash. She doesn’t jump up on us anymore or pull us when on leash walking. She can now do sit and/or down and stay as long as we want her to. She also has such great recall, meaning, when we say “come”, she immediately comes running back. It’s truly amazing!
It has been 5 months since her 2 week training with Matt and she is still doing as great as the day he dropped her off. Needless to say we are thrilled with Off Leash K9 training. Matt did such a fantastic job with Ruby. We now have our second BernieDoodle, Millie, and will be using Matt again very soon. Read less

We can’t say enough good things about Matt, the trainer from Off the Leash, who’s worked with our Rottweiler Zeus. Our boy is loving and playful with us but was overly protective and aggressive around everyone else. He was also difficult to control due to his size (over 100 lbs). Matt is practically a miracle worker. After 3 weeks of board and train with Matt, Zeus came home a much more confident and happy dog. He doesn’t respond to everyone… Read more

My dog was a Covid pup. She was a little too protective of my home. She had a few other aggressive behaviors issues as well. After working with Matt for just a few weeks the difference was night and day. We constantly evaluated progress and through his lessons an my practice she’s turned into one great pup! He would spoil my girl just like I would after all her hard work, which was nice. I was informed and encouraged throughout the lessons, and when practicing at home had shown through. Matt with off leash k9 training St. Louis is an absolute gem! Five stars is not enough. When we signed Maverick up for lessons he had no manners and was a 100 lb nuisance. It was a challenge to have friends and family over. We noticed a difference within a few lessons and a completely different dog by lesson four and it only got better from there.
