We got to have our dogs trained with Alex and couldn’t possibly recommend him enough to anyone and everyone! We have two huskies that are about 5 years old that really struggled with separation from each other, bad manners and were at a point where it was becoming unmanageable with a new baby home. Alex from the first consultation call was knowledgeable, asked a ton of great questions that we didn’t initially consider and gave us the opportunity to voice our biggest pain points. The detail in his daily report cards had us at the edge of our seats with excitement in reading about what our dogs trained on that day (and the photos and videos especially)!
The whole time he had our dogs if we had questions he was responsive and helped us understand why certain behaviors may happen.
Turnover day was incredible! We got to ask all the questions under the sun and feel confident about reuniting with our dogs. We could not believe how significant the improvement was already in just 2 weeks!! Alex was very thorough and really helped guide us through new interactions, how to handle the dogs, how to refocus them, etc! We left feeling extremely confident that we could have a successful transition back home and incorporate their new skills into our life. Even more so, we feel well equipped to handle our dogs testing us and being ready for an unpredictable situation to come our way.

My family and I are so thankful for the boarding and training provided by Laurie! Our 11 month old Wooly Siberian Husky is stubborn by nature, but after her training she is still lovable as always but with structure. I loved that I could send treats and her favorite toys with her. Alex was amazing to have as Scoobys trainer!! He was easily reachable, super understanding and gave report cards everyday. Any questions or concerns I had he answered right away. At first I was nervous to send Scooby away for two weeks just because he is a big dog and still a puppy but as the days went on I knew he had the best interest for Scooby. Two weeks before we dropped our dogs off, the trainer, Laurie, reached out to gather information about our dogs’ behaviors and what behaviors we wanted corrected. She explained what to expect and what items we needed to bring when we dropped the dogs off. When the day finally came, we were nervous about how the dogs would react. They both can have anxiety—one, as a rescue, fears being abandoned again, and the other is a Velcro dog who senses when something is up. However, our stress immediately evaporated when we met Laurie. Our dogs took to her immediately. We left that day feeling very happy with our decision.
For the next two weeks, we received daily updates, including weight, food intake, stool output, and information about our dogs’ progression.Laurie also provided pictures of milestones they reached and detailed notes about what she worked on with each dog. We appreciated her honesty about their behavior. She even took both dogs to a crowded market—something we would have NEVER attempted before.
On the day of pick-up, Laurie gave us an in-depth overview of how to continue the dogs’ training once we got home. This included teaching us how to properly apply the commands so she could correct our own mannerisms and wording to help us communicate more effectively with our dogs. Furthermore, she followed up with us after pick-up to check in.
It has been a night-and-day difference in our dogs’ behavior. Laurie is a miracle worker and highly recommend her! Read less
